Lawrence Hall

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Except for the four years that I attended "The Asheville School for Boys". Now called "The Asheville School", because their are more girls than boys attending today.

I am a third generation graduate of this boarding school located in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. The school is located about five miles due west of the Biltmore House. It is in every meaning; "old school".

I love the school, and if not for my selfishness, I would have sent one my daughters there. It was tough living away from home at the age of 14, but some of the lessons I learned, some of the mistakes I made, have truely become the foundation that I try to live.

Simple things; being polite, being the first to say "good morning", volunteering to do things out of my comfort zone, being honest, believing in myself, and knowing that life is struggling, losing and winning are the key pins. Giving everyone a chance produces suprises and results unimagineable.

Here are a couple of stories that I hope you will enjoy. Note: I am not clever enough to have made these up, but being 1/2 Irish, may have embellished a bit.
